Introducing The Maurtue Method
A calmer home, one small step at a time.
Meet The Maurtue Method (pronounced MOWR-too-uh), a Norwegian-inspired, 30-day tidying program from Erin’s Errands. With manageable daily tasks and support that fits your life, you can make progress without giving up an entire weekend.
Whether you’re getting holiday-ready or reclaiming your everyday spaces, start small and build from there.
What is
The Maurtue Method?
The word Maurtue comes from the Norwegian language, meaning “anthill”.
Our Norwegian-inspired approach takes that image as a reminder: small, steady efforts can build something bigger.
You know how ants build those huge anthills? No single ant does it in a day. Each one carries one tiny pine needle at a time, until there's a monument. That's the idea behind the Maurtue Method, the anthill method.
Why does that matter? Because waiting for a free weekend, a burst of motivation, and a cooperative household is quite the scheduling strategy. Making a start shouldn’t require all three.
This is for the busy people, the overwhelmed people, and the “I’ll deal with it before company comes” people. It’s also for anyone whose holiday decorations have gone from seasonal accents to permanent residents.
The goal isn’t a house nobody’s allowed to live in. It’s a home that feels easier to live in.
